On Wednesday, April 25 at 2:00 p.m., while shopping at Target, I started feeling something "different". I came home, unloaded groceries and took a nap. When I woke up I was still feeling the "weird feeling". I called Bob and told him to bring home his stopwatch. I made dinner and while we ate, we timed what I now know were contractions. They continued to get stronger, were 1 minute long and 5 minutes apart. I was afraid that it might just be false labor so we hung out at home, watching TV. We finally called the doctor at 9:00 and then headed to the hospital. When we got to the hospital, I was 5 cm dialated. After about an hour, I got my epidural, which was heavenly and hung out until 2:15 a.m. when we started pushing. On Thursday, April 26 at 3:20 a.m. our beautiful son, Robert (Bobby) Leo was born, weighing 7 lbs. 13 oz. and measuring 20 inches long. He is named after Bob's Grandpa Baron. The entire labor and delivery experience was a whole lot easier that I had been expecting. We stayed at the hospital, receiving many visitors, until Saturday, April 28 when we headed home.
