1st Visit to the Pediatrician

Bobby went to the doctor for the first time on Tuesday. He did a great job. He was awake and alert the whole time and didn't let out a peep until the doctor was all done and we were putting his clothes back on. Dr. Sperduto checked him out and said everything looks great!!

Bath Time!

Bobby had his first bath at home on Monday. It was just a sponge bath until his cord falls off but he loved it.

It's a Boy!!!!

On Wednesday, April 25 at 2:00 p.m., while shopping at Target, I started feeling something "different". I came home, unloaded groceries and took a nap. When I woke up I was still feeling the "weird feeling". I called Bob and told him to bring home his stopwatch. I made dinner and while we ate, we timed what I now know were contractions. They continued to get stronger, were 1 minute long and 5 minutes apart. I was afraid that it might just be false labor so we hung out at home, watching TV. We finally called the doctor at 9:00 and then headed to the hospital. When we got to the hospital, I was 5 cm dialated. After about an hour, I got my epidural, which was heavenly and hung out until 2:15 a.m. when we started pushing. On Thursday, April 26 at 3:20 a.m. our beautiful son, Robert (Bobby) Leo was born, weighing 7 lbs. 13 oz. and measuring 20 inches long. He is named after Bob's Grandpa Baron. The entire labor and delivery experience was a whole lot easier that I had been expecting. We stayed at the hospital, receiving many visitors, until Saturday, April 28 when we headed home.
